TOYS McCOY(トイズマッコイ)は、雑誌の表紙や大企業の広告を手掛けるイラストレーターとして活躍後、
1987年からフライトジャケットを手掛け、ミリタリークロージングブランドのパイオニアとして、
日本のフライトジャケットブームの火付け役となった岡本博氏が1996年に設立したアメカジブランドです。

そのTOYS McCOY(トイズマッコイ)のネルシャツ(長袖シャツ)です。

作品名は「TOYS McCOY & CO OIL DIGGER COTTON FLANNEL SHIRT 」です。

ネルシャツと言えばチェック柄が相場だが、ヴィンテージワークシャツには無地も数多く存在します。
炭坑や油田の労働で汚れや油にまみれる男たちが頼りにしたのが、今回再現したような無地のネルシャツです。
本作は黄金期のワークシャツに見られる左右非対照デザインのポケットをもつヴィンテージをサンプリング。
チェックにはない経年変化やパッカリングを堪能できます。

形は台衿チンストラップ付きカラーのフルオープンタイプで、
スソはカーブ状にカットされたラウンドボトム(ラウンドテール)です。

素材はコットン100%のフランネル生地です。
表面は起毛がかけられたソフトな着心地の毛羽だった生地です。
微起毛により生地表面にはネップ感(糸の塊、毛玉感)が出て表情豊かに仕上がっています。

フロントは7つボタンによるフルオープン開閉式です。
ボタンにはシンプルな2つ穴プラスチック釦が使用されています。

負荷のかかる肩部分にはもう1枚生地をあてた補強ショルダーヨーク仕様です。

左台衿にはボタンホール付きチンストラップが付属されています。

両胸にはは左右非対称のポケット(通称ガチャポケ)が設けられています。

右胸ポケットはペンホルダーを搭載した下部に丸みを帯びたボタン留めポケットです。
左胸は下部にマチが付いたボタン留めポケット仕様です。

袖口はカフスリット付きのシングルボタンカフスです。

主要部分の縫製は、2本針巻き縫いのビンテージワークシャツの仕様を再現した頑強なつくりです。

両脇裾にはマチ(力布)が付き、空縫いすると出てくる「空環」の二本針(ダブルステッチ)の撚り糸が垂れ下がっています。
昔ながらのワークシャツの縫製手法を踏襲したディティールです。

フロント左身頃裾付近には、「TOYS McCOY」の飾りネームタグが縫い付けられ、デザインのアクセントにされています。

裾裏にはギャランティーチケットがステッチで叩き付けられています。
ギャランティーチケットはユニオンチケットとも呼ばれ、
衣類を製作する会社が労働組合に加盟している事を示したものだと言われています。
