68年発売のソニーの佳作 8F-48

68年に¥12500で発売されたソニーのホームラジオです。
12cmの比較的強力なアルニコ磁気回路のスピーカーが付いています。
このモデルは3年以上に亘って作られた8F-38の後継機として出された様ですが、半年も経たずに廃番となり、横長で黒い金属製のスピーカーグリルのついたTFM-9500に交代しています。
TFM-9500は確かに魅力的なデザインのモデルで、可成り長い間販売されていたベストセラーではありましたが、翻ってこの8F-48が見劣りする様な駄作であったかと言うとそうではありません。
サイズこそ小振りですが、とても堅牢なウッドキャビネット内に高級な部品が入っており、ピアノタッチのバンド切替、電源スイッチもモダンな出来です。
縦長のデザインは洋室にも和室にもマッチする渋いデザインで悪くありません。
但し、先行した8F-38がプラスチック製乍ら時代を先取りした様な未来的なデザインだった事から、保守的なデザインと見られた可能性はあります。
更に同時期のナショナル辺りのホームラジオよりも小さく、店頭での押し出しは弱かったでしょう。
しかし、繰り返しになりますが、このモデル単体で見ると良く考えられた良いデザインだと思います。しかもウッド部分は天然木を使った突板仕上げで
今日では望むべくもない高級な造りでした。
出力は1W程度ですが、スピーカーの能率も高いので全く不足はありません。
音量を上げてだらしなくキャビネットが箱鳴りを起こしたり、スピーカーがビビったりする事もありません。
外観に見合った渋くバランスの良い心地よい音で、聴き疲れする事はないでしょう。とは言え繊細な表現も巧みで、多分結構ヒアリングに時間を掛けた感じの音がします。

この個体は入手時点ではAMが入らず、ガリも多め、ボディはタバコのヤニまみれでしたが、いずれもクリーニング、修理済みです。
このモデル、希少価値もあるのかネットでは1万〜2.5万円の高値で売られている物もありますが、ツマミが錆びていたり、キズが目立つたりするものもあります。この個体はそう言った部分は綺麗です。
ラジオとしての機能にも問題はありませんが、唯一ダイヤルライトが点きません。
ACコードはトンボ目のものをおつけします。
クラシックをゆっくり楽しむには良いチョイスかと思います。

1. International Shipping

Air freight: If the arrival notice exceeds seven days and the status of the goods is not confirmed, a customer complaint will occur and the seller will not be able to report it.

Alfred24’s liability for any shipment, including but not limited to loss or damage, is limited to actual direct losses and shall not exceed the upper limit of HK$500 per shipment; if it is sent to a Post Smart Mail station or post office The maximum compensation limit for each shipment is HKD 320.

The following are product types that are not eligible for compensation by Alfred 24:
