【江戸前期】霰円窓二福神尾垂釜 寛永年間京釜

2代長野垤志氏極め、寛永年間頃に製作された京釜の尾垂釜です。(1624〜44年)



霰に円窓をとり、中に福神を描く、洗練された美しさを感じる一品です。

霰は大粒で先丸く、配列狂いなく押し出されており技術力の高さが分かります。

鐶付は手強い尼面で大きく全体を引き締めています。

蓋も古作で地金色味も良いものです。





※長野氏の極めに関する解説

極めでは特定の製作者が記載されておらず、京釜とのみ記されています。

これは大西家や宮崎家等の伝統に則った漠然とした極めではなく、現代の学術的観点から極めを行っているため、このような分類になっています。



大西家等では寛永年間の京釜と言えば、ほとんどが大西浄林や堀山城と極められています。

ただ文献を参照すると、この時代に活躍した人物は現在広く知られている釜師以外にも多く存在したことが明らかになっています。(安見孫三郎・和田国次等)

桃山時代の辻与次郎についても違いが判断できないため、同時代の藤左衛門や弥四郎の作も全て与次郎と極めるということが江戸中期から早くも行われてきましたが、江戸時代の釜師作でも同様に大まかな極めが伝統的に行われてきました。


また作風も(現代作家にも言えますが)必ず同じ作風で作るということはなく、注文主や趣向によって膚・鐶付・文様も使い分けていたため、芦屋天命のように京釜ということは分かりますが、作者名まで断定することは不可能です。



こうした理由からあえて作者名ではなく、京釜と極められています。

釜の出来の良さや時代の古さ、また茶会での相性を踏まえてご検討ください。





尾垂の接合部分の漆が緩んでおり水漏れがあるため、漆を締め直す必要があります。

8. Refusal of items is not allowed after they arrive at our Japanese receiving point.

Air freight: If the arrival notice exceeds seven days and the status of the goods is not confirmed, a customer complaint will occur and the seller will not be able to report it.
